Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign up and no login. Just open the app and add your pet.
Where is my pet's data stored?
On your phone, in the app's local storage. That includes profiles, photos, schedules, weights and your care log. We do not run servers, so we never see it.
Is Toffee Tails free?
Yes. The core planner is free for 1 pet. Optional Toffee Tails Plus adds unlimited pets, full weight history, care and behavior guides, the find groomers button, a supplies tracker and multi-pet sitter sheets. The price is shown in the App Store or Google Play before you buy.
How do I back up my data?
Use backup and export in Settings to save a file. You choose where it goes, like your Files app or a drive you already use. You can restore from that file later.
How do reminders work?
Reminders are local notifications set on your phone. They work without an internet connection and nothing is sent to us.
Does Toffee Tails use my location?
No. The find emergency vet and find groomers buttons open your phone's maps app, like Apple Maps or Google Maps, with a search. Toffee Tails never asks for or stores your location. The maps app handles that under its own privacy policy.
Are the guides veterinary advice?
No. Care guides and behavior notes are general information only. They are not veterinary advice and have not been reviewed by a vet. Please ask your vet about your pet's health.
What should I do in an emergency?

How do I restore my Toffee Tails Plus subscription?
Tap Restore Purchases in Settings or on the Toffee Tails Plus screen. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple or Google account you used to subscribe. The app checks your subscription on your phone.
How do I manage, cancel or get a refund?
Subscriptions are handled by the App Store or Google Play. Manage or cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings, and ask Apple or Google about refunds. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
How do I delete my data?
Delete a pet to remove its profile, photos, reminders and log. To remove everything, use Delete all data in Settings, or delete the app. Backup files and PDFs you exported stay wherever you saved them, so delete those too if you want them gone.
I got a new phone. How do I move my pets?
Export a backup file on your old phone, move that file to your new phone, then restore it in Settings.
