Plain words for a simple app. Please read them before you use Toffee Tails.

Agreeing to these terms

By downloading or using Toffee Tails, or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What the app is

Toffee Tails is a planner that helps you keep track of your pet's care. It stores your information on your own device. There are no accounts.

Not veterinary advice

The app and this website do not give veterinary advice, diagnosis or treatment. Care guides, behavior notes and emergency info are general information only and have not been reviewed by a vet. Always ask your vet about your pet's health.

In an emergency, contact your vet or an emergency animal clinic right away. For a possible poisoning, you can also call ASPCA Animal Poison Control at (888) 426-4435. A consultation fee may apply.

Reminders

Reminders are local notifications and depend on your phone's settings, battery and notification permissions. Please do not rely on the app alone for time sensitive care like medication.

Calls and maps

Tap to call opens your phone's dialer, and the find emergency vet and find groomers buttons open your phone's maps app. Those apps and the businesses they show are not run by us, and we are not responsible for their results, listings or services.

Your data and backups

Your data lives on your device and you are responsible for it. We cannot recover data that is lost or deleted, because we do not keep a copy. Export backups often if your data matters to you.

Free and Toffee Tails Plus

The core planner is free for 1 pet. Toffee Tails Plus is an optional subscription that adds unlimited pets, full weight history, care and behavior guides, the find groomers button, a supplies tracker and sitter sheets for more than one pet. The price and billing period are shown in the App Store or Google Play before you buy.

Toffee Tails Plus is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase. It renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

If a free trial is offered, the store shows its length and what you will be charged after it. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.

Billing, renewals and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. We cannot issue refunds directly. Use Restore Purchases in Settings or on the Toffee Tails Plus screen if your subscription does not show up. If Plus ends, the pets and data you already saved stay on your phone. "Future extras" means features we may add later. We do not promise any specific feature or date.

No affiliate links

Version 1 of the app has no gear picks, affiliate links or ads. If that changes, we will update these terms and our privacy policy first.

Fair use

Please do not copy, resell, reverse engineer or misuse the app, or use it for anything unlawful.

Ownership

The app, its name, design and content belong to us. Your pet's information belongs to you.

No warranty

The app is provided as is. We work hard to make it reliable, but we cannot promise it will always be error free or available.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or incidental losses from using the app, including lost data or missed reminders.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, unless the law where you live says otherwise.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we will update this page and the dates at the top. Using the app after changes take effect means you accept them.
